                <p>We are all right – &amp; <persName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#CraikGeorge"
                        >Papa</persName> is enjoying himself much &amp; even talking to queer
                    Yankees at table <unclear>two words</unclear> &amp; infuriate Irishmen in the
                    smoking room. – This hotel is very comfortable – &amp; just like abroad.
                        <placeName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Killarney">Killarney</placeName> is <hi
                        rend="underline">almost</hi> – not quite – as lovely as <placeName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Arran">Arran</placeName>. – the
                        <unclear>orrises</unclear> by <placeName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#LadyKenmaresCottage">Lady Kenmare's
                        cottage</placeName> were <hi rend="underline">wonderful</hi> – never saw
                    such big ones &amp; so <unclear>pretty</unclear>. – I am not a bit knocked up,
                    tho' a little tired – so we are taking it quietly – a drive to <placeName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Muckross">Muckross</placeName> and <placeName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#TorcWaterfall">Torc waterfall</placeName>. – lunch
                    in <placeName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Innisfallen">Innisfallen</placeName> –
                    back in a BOAT. – I wish my little girl were here to row. – </p>
                <p>– I slept "like anything" last night – &amp; dreamed a long dream about the
                        <persName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Idol">Idol</persName> – how he &amp; I
                    were taking a long walk together on the <placeName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Brighton">Brighton</placeName> shore – &amp; he was
                    consulting me about the education of his daughters – because, he said, – mine
                    was "such a sweet little thing!" – Wasn't it funny? I laughed to myself when I
                    woke. – He was so nice &amp; good &amp; kind – that I made up my mind to take
                    him to <placeName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Keston">Keston</placeName> at the
                    first opportunity. </p>
                <p>– Papa has just got a letter from <persName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#MorleyJohn"
                        >John Morley</persName> – who will dine at the <orgName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Bewley">Bewley's</orgName> – &amp; says the weather
                    in <placeName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#London">London</placeName> is "mid-winter"
                    – so "May has set in with its usual severity" – as per <title
                        corresp="CraikSiteIndex.xml#Punch">"Punch"</title><anchor xml:id="n1"/> –
                    which I send – &amp; when read send to <persName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#CraikWilliam">Uncle William.</persName> – I hope my
                        <persName ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#CraikDorothy">lammie</persName> – you did
                    your <unclear>dress</unclear> all right – &amp; Iam sure you are happy – keep
                    all the letters safe – you might put them in a letter parcel &amp; give them to
                        <persName>Keenan</persName> when he fetches us on Saturday – Such a nice man
                    is <persName>Keenan</persName>. – I think a car would do <unclear>put</unclear>
                    as well us the carriage – but <persName
                        ref="CraikSiteIndex.xml#PilkingtonHenryMulock">Mr. Pilkington</persName> will decide. </p>
